Using mindfulness practice and Senge’s Presence map, participants are introduced to the notion of connecting fully with self and seeing self as a major instrument of their work.
Participants explore their unique experience of ‘who you are is how you coach’ - Exploration of Two Spaces
- The space inside the practitioner - Building the Internal Supervisor (intuitive, somatic and cognitive intelligence)
- The space between coach and coachee.
- Coaching Supervision demo followed by processing demo in light of these explorations.

Edna Murdoch, presenter
Edna Murdoch is a Director of the Coaching Supervision Academy; CSA is an ICF Approved Provider of training to Diploma level in Coaching Supervision and this course is now in its fourth successful year. Edna has worked for over 30 years in Personal Development - as a Transpersonal Psychotherapist and Stress Management Consultant and Executive Coach.
Edna worked in Education for many years, and then trained for four years in Gestalt Therapy in London and Italy and for four years in Transpersonal and Archetypal Therapy, also in London. Supervision training followed and Edna has supervised, Senior managers, Therapists and Executive Coaches for over 20 years. She graduated from CoachU 2000. Since then, she has worked with companies such as Full Potential Group, Hanover Foundations, Faraday Partnership, Channel 4, Pushkin Trust (Ireland) and DBM, coaching Senior Women and supervising Executive Coaches individually and in groups.
Edna's passion is to support coaches to work powerfully and efficiently and to engage fully in their development as mature and confident practitioners. In addition to running the Diploma in Coaching Supervision, Edna runs Advanced Workshops for coaches at all levels on themes central to coaching - see CSA website for details.
Miriam Orriss, presenter
Miriam is a Director of the Coaching Supervision Academy and is Senior Tutor on the ICF Approved Diploma in Coaching Supervision. Miriam has worked as a supervisor for over 20 years in a variety of contexts: Supervision-on-Call™, coaching projects, supervising senior managers, senior management teams, front line practitioners, psychotherapists and counsellors. She has supervised both individual coaches and teams of coaches.
As part of her responsibilities overseeing and managing a Department within a Local Authority, Miriam wrote Supervision Policies, Procedures and Protocols and trained senior and middle managers in Supervision Skills. Miriam is familiar with balancing legal, procedural and professional requirements with understanding, care and compassion for the individuals concerned; this is especially valuable when supervising coaches within the corporate sector and organisations. Miriam also specializes in working with coaches in Education and in training coaches in Peer Supervision Skills.
