Open Space – Passion and Responsibility

What you will get from this session

Whatever is right for you. The outcome of an Open Space is always a surprise. Expect a great experience, inspiration, insights, connections and more - and you'll most likely get it

Who is this session for? All coaches

Join like-minded coaches at our Open Space event, where anything goes! An unstructured, creative and innovative space where we can generate ideas and bring about change for our coaching community.

Bring a topic, question or issue that you’re interested in or an activity or project you would like to share – whatever it is, you’ll have the opportunity to propose it on the day and invite others to join you.

  • Whoever comes are the right people.
  • Whatever happens in the moment is the only thing that could have.
  • Whenever it starts is the right time.
  • When it’s over it’s over – move on!

Facilitated by Janine Waldman and Deirdre Dee, this event is based on the ‘participatory meeting methodology’, used around the world as an effective process for generating ideas and facilitating change in both community and organisational settings – it was developed in the late 1980’s by Harrison Owen of Maryland USA http://www.openspaceworld.com/brief_history.htm

Coach for Creatives

I have led a rich and varied life, spanning several different careers but all connected with creativity and the arts. I worked as a professional actress from the age of 17 in West End Musicals, plays and TV. I produced my own one woman show performing at The Royal National Theatre before forming a prestigious corporate events company whose clients included Hitachi Data Systems, Procter & Gamble and British Airways, I latterly introduced coaching to my corporate clients. I qualified as a Coach with Distinction in 2003 from the Coaching Academy and I work mostly with people from the creative industries, coaching them in career progression, time management, realistic goal setting and business management.
Two years ago I relocated to Devon, where I work as a freelance facilitator and coach. I am a trustee of the Northcott Theatre, Exeter, and a director of an African Water Charity. I also lead Exeter Ecademy and Edris South West England. I have two daughters, Lucy currently studying for a Masters in Creative Writing at RHUL University of London and Laura currently reading English at Newnham College Cambridge. I also lead the Coaching Support Group in Exeter on behalf of Noble Manhattan.
